April was the second wettest April in the recorded history of Yates County, New York. According to The Weather Channel, my location received 5.76 inches of rain in April. The Weather Channel indicates that the average April rainfall is 2.77 inches.
We haven't had a frost in a while (a couple of weeks), but plant growth (excepting grass growth) has been stunted by the consistent cold, cloudy weather that we've had since March. It would be ironic if we have one of our earliest last frosts in the same year that we have our coolest, wettest, Spring.
