Beautiful Autumn

This has been a beautiful September. Most days have been in the 60s or low 70s, and we've had just the right amount of rain. We had our first light frost on 2008 September 19 and our second light frost on 2008 September 22. That's quite different from last year, when our first and second light frosts were a month apart. It looks like we have some more near-freezing weather in store the end of this week.

First Frost

Our first light frost of the winter of A.D. 2008/2009 occurred on the morning of September 19. Though the low temperature was 35 degrees Fahrenheit, there was ice on both of our vehicles and on the grass clippings that had piled up in the backyard.
