It appears that the summer of 2008 will conclude having had 23 days with high temperatures at or above 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit). This number represents a significant drop from last year's tally of 30.

Best August ever.

Through 28 days of August we've had 19 days in the 60s or 70s Fahrenheit and 09 in the 80s. Only two of those reached 85 degrees F. - the rest were near 80. Like I said, "Best August ever."

July is turning out to be a very warm month. In the first 16 days we have had 5 days above 30 degrees Celsius. Okay, so one out of every three isn't bad, but six of the next seven days are forecast to be at least 30 degrees.

Three more hot days, two of which reached 92 degrees Fahrenheit. More are forecast the next ten days, and July is shaping up to be a pretty warm month.

We had another inch of rainfall this past week, and things are finally starting to look lush. During one stretch in the first week of June, we had six consecutive days above 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Other than that, we only had two days above 30 degrees Celsius in June - excellent weather.
